  • i want a guy who....

1.who opens the door for, not just me, but any girl that is going through at the same time...

2.who looks me straight in the eyes no matter what mood he’s in.

3.who will still say "your beautiful" whenever im 70.

4.who will care enough to make me laugh whenever im sad or crying. No matter how busy he is.

5.who will read me better than a book. And know my moods before anyone else.

6.who will hold me like I’m gonna break even though I act tough.

7.who will take care of me when im sick.

8.who will put his arms around me when im cold.

    9.who will trust me

  • what i need in a guy....

the previous blog i wrote was about what i would like in a guy. this one is about what i think is most important. what would be necessary instead of what i want.

    the guy that i marry.....

    1. MUST be a christian

2.MUST love God more than he loves me

3.doesn't have to be perfect, but must strive towards it

4.MUST be able to challenge me in spiritual things and correct me when im wrong (which happens a lot)

5.MUST be someone i can submit to

i could write more, but everything else would just fall under one of those categories.

  • what i found out about my "condition"

I am a reactive hypoglycemiac also known as postprandial hypoglycimia. Symptoms are hunger, nervousness, perspiration, shakiness, dizziness, light-headedness, sleepiness, confusion, difficulty speaking, and feeling anxious or weak. That means that my blood sugar level is usually 70 or below, when it should be anywhere from 70-140 (depending on when I eat). Doctors haven't exactly figured out an overall cause, but its between the idea that some people are more sensitive to the bodys release of  hormone epinephrine and/or deficiencies in glucagon secretion. A few ways to treat reactive hypoglycemia are to eat small meals and snacks about every 3 hours. exercise regularly. eat a variety of foods, mostly, or nonmeat sources of protein, starchy foods, fruits, vegetables, and dairy.i need to eat foods high in fiber and avoid or limit foods high in sugar, especially on an empty stomach. So there's what I found out. I also read that if I pass out and someones with me then the fastest way to get sugar back into me is to give me a few spoon fulls of honey. Im glad I know this stuff now so I can take care of my temple, but I wanted to let you all know so you can know whats going on with me and help me if I ever need it.

  • sleep

well, i just wanted to give a few scriptures that one of my friends showed me about sleep. When is it too little? When did you just cross the line into lazy? and a few other tidbits. if its not too much trouble to ask, i would really like some comments on this one please. When i read these scriptures, i prayed them over my life and God totally helped me.

When did people in the Bible sleep?:

"She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household and a portion to her maidens. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness"Proverbs 31:15,27

"And Abraham got up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the LORD;And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar and poured oil upon the top of it".  Genesis 19:27,28:18

"And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar and poured oil upon the top of it".  Mark 1:35

when is it a bad time to sleep?:

"I will not give sleep to mine eyes or slumber to mine eyelids, until I find out a place for the LORD, a habitation for the Mighty God of Jacob." psalm 132:4-5

"He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.He that gathereth in summer is a wise son, but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame".  proverbs 10:4-5

How much sleep is too much?:

"Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep so shall thy poverty come as a marauder, and thy want as an armed man.Love not sleep lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread".  proverbs 6:10-11,20:13

    When is sleep good?:

"I laid me down and slept; I awaked, for the LORD sustained me. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for Thou LORD only, makest me dwell in safety. t is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He giveth His beloved sleep".  psalm 3:5,4:8,127:2

"The sleep of the laboring man is sweet whether he eat little or much, but the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep".  ecclessiastes 5:12

A very wise person once told me "sleep is a wonderful thing, just don't get too much and don't get too little".

  • drunkenness sends you to Hell!

OK, so i would like to start out by warning whoever reads my blogs that  am a pentacostal christian and that basically means that whatevers in the Bible is what i believe.if its not in there then its convictional (i think i just made that word up:), but if its against anything in the bible then i am totally against it. so when i write or talk to people i usually use a lot of scripture to make my points. a lot of people say im up tight or that i have a "holier than though" attitude and if ive ever offended anyone im very sorry and i promise i didn't mean to. i just take what i think from the word of god.

so now that thats cleared up. i want to talk about a very contraversial subject and one that a lot of people dont "agree" on probably just because they dont want to face the facts. you can even read it for yourself if you dont believe me. so please take a deep breath and really think about what you are about to read.

so this morning in youth sunday school (and no its not the kind where when you show up you get a sparkley little star on the attendance poster), our "teacher" at the moment gave us a bumch of scriptures on drinking and what the bible has to say about it. i was very happy because every time ive tried to talk to someone about why i think that, biblically, drinking is wrong they always have the response "well jesus turned water into wine..." and he did, but, well, ill just give you the scriptures.

    random "drunk" scriptures:

"and do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the spirit"  Ephesians 5:18  How can you be drunk and filled with spirit at the same time?

"But I now have written unto you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother if he is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. With such a one you are not even to eat." 1 corinthians 5:11

"nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the Kingdom of God." 1corinthians 6:10 it even says it right here, that they wont get into heaven!!

"Therefore thou shalt say unto them, `Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye and be drunken, and spew and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you"jeremiah 25:27

    drinking steals money:

"for the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty, and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags". Prov. 23:21

"But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel".  1 timothy 5:8 in order to drink you have to buy it and that stuff isnt cheap, especially once the whole "i only ever drink one..." bit flies down the drain.

    drinking sets a bad example:

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" Proverbs 22:6 so say a kid grows up watching one or both of their parnts drinking, what happens then?

"And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord". Ephesians 6:4

"Abstain from all appearances of evil". 1 thessalonians 5:22

so if we can all agree that the world is evil and what the people do who are of the world is evil, drinking for example, then we could agree that as christians, drinking would look like the world and by doing that it is an appearance of evil. how much clearer do you get? the verse above doesn't say "abstain from all appearances of evil unless you only drink one..." No it says "from all appearances". i think that basically sums it up. i have even more scriptures if any of you want them let me know, but i think we covered just about everything on this subject.

    i hope you were blessed!
